Better Chains, Inc. operates the www.betterchains.com website and related applications. We respect your privacy, and this Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information, and help you make informed decisions when using Better Chains’ Service. By using the Better Chains Service, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you have questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, you should first contact us at support@betterchains.com

We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and made a part of, the Better Chains, Inc. Terms of Use, and capitalized terms used and not defined in this policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms.

The Information We Collect

We collect only limited information from you when you use the Better Chains Service. Typically, the only information we collect that can be used to identify you individually, sometimes referred to as “personally identifiable information,” is the information (including your name and email address) you may submit to us by filling out the form on the “Contact Us” page on the Better Chains Site and your registration information.

If you use the Apps on your mobile telephone or other mobile device, we collect mobile device identifiers, including MAC Address, and IP Address. We may collect the name you have associated with your device, device type, telephone number, country, and any other information you choose to provide, such as username, character name, geo-location or e-mail address.

We will collect the billing and financial information necessary to process your charges, which may include your postal and e-mail addresses. We may also receive the billing and payment information that you provide when your purchase is processed by another party.

When you ask for assistance from our Customer Support team, we will collect and store the contact information you provide (generally your name and e-mail address), information about your activity on the Better Chains Service, and your user ID number. We will also store the correspondence and any information contained within.

We receive and store the information you provide, including your telephone number, when you sign up to have SMS notifications sent directly to your mobile phone. You can adjust the types of notifications you receive and when you receive them by editing your SMS notification settings; just log in to your game account and a choose Notifications in Settings. With your consent we may send push notifications to your mobile device to provide critical alerts and other relevant messages. You can manage push notifications from the “options” or “settings” menu of your mobile device.

Cookies

In addition, if you are a registered user of the Better Chains Service, and log on to use Better Chains Service via the Better Chains Site, our third party provider of online transaction services may collect your IP address, and may also use “cookies,” or small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive to access that information on return visits. No personally identifiable information is generally stored or retrieved in cookies. A visitor to the commercial site is subject to his employer policy and doesn’t have access to the data collected by the system

With your consent we may send push notifications to your mobile device to provide updates and other relevant messages. To update personal information (email address or phone number) login to your online account profile and input the new information.

Use of Information Obtained by Better Chains

Better Chains uses the information that we collect to provide to you all of the features found on the Better Chains Service. We may use your email address for marketing purposes, unless you have expressly notified us that you prefer for us not to use your email address for any specific marketing purposes (“opt-out”). While you may opt-out from such marketing use, you may not opt-out from our use of your email address for non-marketing or administrative purposes such as automatic notifications of recent account activity, or notifying you of major site updates.

Better Chains may use all of the information that we collect from our users to understand the usage trends and preferences, to improve the way the App works and looks, to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, and to create new features and functionality.

Better Chains may use automatically collected information and cookies information to: (a) remember your information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the App; (b) provide custom, personalized advertisements, content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; and (d) monitor aggregate usage metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed.

Sharing Your Information with Third Parties

Better Chains is not in the business of selling your information, and we take your privacy very seriously. In the course of providing the Better Chains Service to you and other users, we make limited disclosures of your information to others for a variety of purposes.

We share your information with third parties where we believe such sharing is 1) incident to our ordinary business operations (e.g., emailing you through a third party server), 2) legally required or when we choose to collaborate with a law enforcement agency in the investigation or other law enforcement activity, 3) useful to protect and defend our rights and property, 4) useful to protect the personal safety or property of our customers or the public, or 5) authorized by you.

If the ownership of all or a portion of the Better Chains business, or individual business units owned by Better Chains, Inc., were to change, such as through a merger or acquisition, your user information may be transferred to the new owner in connection with that transaction. In any such transfer of information, your user information would remain subject to Privacy Policy it was subject to at the time of transfer.

No third parties have this access to our visitor information including our BOSS application, and your personal information will not be collected by websites or over time.

Do Not Track Disclosure (DNT)

This Do Not Track policy allows an operator of BOSS to declare that it respects Do Not Track as a meaningful privacy opt-out of tracking, so that privacy-protecting software can better determine whether to block or anonymize communications with this domain. Individual visitors are not tracked in our homepage and landing pages. Information collected is anonymous, and we don’t sell or share any visitor and customer information with other companies. Logged in users’ visits are audited and recorded based on system usage policies. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.

Security

Better Chains takes certain precautions to protect our users’ information and to limit the risk that it will be accessed without authorization, including use of certain industry standard technologies and practices. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Better Chains, and you do so at your own risk. If Better Chains learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. Better Chains may post a notice through the Better Chains Service if a security breach occurs. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. Changes To This Privacy Policy

As specified in the Terms, Better Chains may from time to time revise this Privacy Policy. If we do, we will post those changes on this page and indicate the new effective date so that you are always aware of what information we collect and how we use it. For changes to this Policy that may be materially less restrictive on our right to use or disclose your personal information, we will attempt to notify you before implementing the change. Without your consent, we will only use and disclose your information in a manner consistent with the version of the Privacy Policy that was in effect at the time we collected that information. We encourage you to periodically review this Policy to stay informed about how we are protecting the information we collect from you.
